KUWAIT, May 22 (KUNA) -- Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) announced Monday that it has exported the first shipment of high quality petroleum coke (petcoke or coke) from Mina Al Ahmadi Refinery.
"The shipment of 15 metric tons of coke was carried by the vessel Pola Elizaveta from Shuaiba Seaport," KNPC spokesman Abdullah Al-Ajmy told KUNA.
"This is the first production of the environment fuel unit at Al-Ahmadi refinery which went operational in early Aprile at a capacity of 37,000 barrels a day," he noted.
Al-Ajmy thanked the KNPC workers who contributed to the exportation of the first consignment amid the fallout of the novel coronavirus on the oil sector. (end) km.tma.gb
