A Young Professional from TATNEFT Took Part in a Press Conference on the New Season Start of the CASE-IN Championship

Daniyar Oktyabrev, Personnel Manager of the Center for Technological Development of PJSC TATNEFT, became one of the speakers at a press conference on the International Engineering Championship “CASE-IN”, which was held at the TASS news agency. There was a start of the new season of the CASE-IN championship announced during the press conference, which was dedicated to the technological modernization of Russia. The “CASE-IN” is one of the projects of the presidential platform “Russia is a country of opportunities”.

PJSC TATNEFT had been a partner of the CASE-IN championship since 2016, when the Oil and Gas Business sector appeared in the line of the championship’s industry-related areas. Engineering cases of the Oil and Gas Business line were developed based on the materials of the Company, while TATNEFT professionals annually act as experts and evaluate the solutions offered by future oil workers participating in the Student League of the CASE-IN championship. The teams of the Almetyevsk State Petroleum Institute, the university, which is a partner of PJSC TATNEFT, used to become bronze medalists twice (in 2016 and 2019) in the championship’s category “Oil and Gas Business” and received awards from the industry leaders. The Company representatives annually take part in the Career Day of the championship finals, presenting the youth policy of PJSC TATNEFT and getting to know the best oil students from different regions of Russia.

In addition to the Student League, TATNEFT takes an active part in the competitions of the Championship’s Young Professionals League. The teams of the Company’s young professionals became winners and laureates of the Young Professionals League in 2018 (within the framework of the Youth Day of the Russian Energy Week (REN), the International Scientific and Technical Conference "Electricity through the Eyes of the Youth", the CASE-IN season’s finals "Development of the Arctic Regions”) and in 2019 year in the framework of the REN’s Youth Day. Daniyar Oktyabrev, personnel manager of the PJSC TATNEFT’s Technological Development Center, who used to receive the CASE-IN championship awards three times, spoke at the TASS press conference dedicated to the beginning of the new Championship season. As Daniyar Oktyabrev pointed out, the championship was making a significant contribution to the development of the young professionals and enterprises of the fuel and energy complex: “It allowed our team to be revealed from an entirely new perspective. Participating in the championship, we have exchanged experience with the young professionals from various industries: energy, petrochemicals, oil and gas industry, received feedback from experts. The championship allowed us to crank it up a notch.”

The plans for the new season of the championship provide that in addition to presenting the Company’s youth policy TATNEFT will select 6 best students in the areas of Oil and Gas Business and Petrochemistry for internships.

The CASE-IN International Engineering Championship is traditionally held in five leagues: the School League, the League of Trade Jobs, the Student League, the League of Young Professionals and the Special League. “On the basis of the projects such as Case-in, we create together with companies and universities, social elevators for the most talented and goal-oriented future engineers. It is important for young professionals and students to launch thousands of specific projects that will be supported by companies and universities and implemented in practice”, said Anton Inyutsyn, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation.

During the championship competitions, which will stretch for several months and will take place in 5 areas (leagues), the future and young engineers will devise solutions for cases on the subjects of the fuel and energy and mineral resource complexes. This year, a new direction of engineering creativity also has been established for schoolchildren in grades 6 to10.

The organizers of the Championship are the Reliable Successors Foundation, the Nonprofit Partnership Youth Forum of Mining Leaders and OOO AstraLogika, the Russian National Committee of the International Council for Large High Voltage Electric Systems, the Mining Business, is the co-organizer of the Electricity sector, while the co-organizer of the "Exploration" and the “Mining” Leagues is the Interregional Public Organization "Academy of Mining Sciences".
