On 14 October 2021, a Transpetrol delegation led by Director General and Chairman of the Management Board Jan Horkovic visited Transneft’s office. During the visit, a meeting with President of Transneft Nikolay Tokarev was held. At the negotiations was also present Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to the Russian Federation Lubomir Rehak.
The parties discussed the prospects of bilateral technological cooperation, the inspection and maintenance of oil trunk pipelines issues with an eye on ensuring their reliable and safe operation, as well as uninterrupted supplies of Russian crude oil to European consumers.
During their visit to the Russian Federation, Transpetrol delegates also visited the production facility of Transneft Diascan in Lukhovitsy of Moscow Region, they were introduced to the activities of Transneft R&D, as well as mechanical engineering enterprises in the Transneft system.
Transpetrol is a state-owned Slovak oil pipeline company which owns and operates the Slovak sections of Druzhba and Adria oil trunk pipelines. The company is in charge of storing the national strategic oil reserves, being also a member of the International Association of Oil Transporters (IAOT).
